Renewed Competition
Happy new year!
Hope 2008 is as great as it is made out to be (otherwise I will be asking for a refund!).
I'm wondering if people have given up on my blog after being absent for a while, but I have a good excuse, that is my Christmas present that Santa (aka hubby) bought me this year (see pic). The reason it has eaten away into my time is that it's a game that I am actually not bad at and I stand half a chance of maintaining my high score without being thrashed and destroyed by my husband. Unfortunately, with him being uber-competitive, it means that every time I get a high score, he has to try and beat it. So, being the proud sod that I am, I have to try and raise the bar a little higher each time. Hence, even the excitement of watching TVB's "The Ultimate Crime Fighter" has to stand aside for this little bit of renewed competitiveness between us. It's all good though - it also means we're making the most of the Wii instead of letting it gather dust along with the Gamecube and Dreamcast.
Christmas and the new year just kinda came and went this year. Caught up with family and a few friends, but as I only took Christmas Eve off work, I found myself back in the office before very long. It was okay though, nice and quiet, so I was able to get some work done.
Roll on January 31st, when I can really let my hair down for a week!
